Job Placement and FREE, On-Site Training for Nationally-Recognized Certifications

JVS of MetroWest offers free training courses and job placement assistance. If you are interested in any of our programs, please fill in a registration form and someone from JVS of MetroWest will be in touch shortly. All of JVS of MetroWest’s on-site training takes place in East Orange, New Jersey.

To be eligible, applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, earned a high school diploma or GED, meet reading and math levels, and be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.

The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certificate will will prepare students to provide health care services and personal care to patients at their homes. Areas of learning will include utilizing medical equipment and mechanical lifts, basic nutrition, checking vital signs, dressing wounds, patient care records, physical therapies, personal hygiene standards, collecting routine specimen, assisting with personal activities, domestic and household tasks, transporting and or accompanying patients, and providing companionship and emotional support.

This 12-week English as a Second Language (ESL) + Pharmacy Technician Training program will help students improve their English Language skills and prepare for a career as a pharmacy technician. Classes start January 8, 2024, in person at JVS of MetroWest, East Orange, NJ.

Pre-apprenticeship Pharmacy Technician (PhT) On-site classes will be held at our East Orange location.

The Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) certificate will prepare participants to work in the apartment and facilities maintenance industry. Areas of learning include electrical appliance maintenance and repair, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, and general interior and exterior repair of apartment buildings.

The Virtual Evening Pharmacy Technician (PhT) training will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field with virtual instruction and hands-on externships.

The Certified Production Technician (CPT) certificate will prepare participants to work in a front-line manufacturing environment with the potential to move into a supervisory role. Areas of learning include safety, quality practices and measurement, manufacturing processes and production and maintenance awareness, and green awareness.
