Volunteer Opportunities
The populations Jewish Vocational Service serves are quite diverse—as are their needs. To help meet the needs of those we serve, JVS offers a variety of volunteer opportunities that enable you to put your knowledge and talents to good use and make a real difference in people’s lives—including your own.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services
JVS is currently seeking to fill the following volunteer positions in our Vocational Rehabilitation Services department:
Job Placement Assistant
- Assist program participants in resume preparation and the development of interviewing skills
- Cultivate relationships with potential employers
- Provide employer follow-up after job placements
Quality Control
- Provide oversight and quality control of client production activities in our Custom Business Solutions department
Production Assistant
- Oversee and direct workflow in our Custom Business Solutions department
- Oversee production activities
Group Assistant
- Help clients improve their academic, work-related, and computer skills (either one-on-one and/or via small group instruction)
Clerical Support
- General clerical duties, including filing and record-keeping
Computer Assistant
- Assist computer skills instructor
- Provide individualized support to students
