The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) program will prepare students to provide health care services and personal care to patients at their homes. This profession has a huge demand as people become ill, have a disability, and advance in age needing assistance during their retirement. A career as a home health aide professional is very impactful. They help improve the patient’s overall quality of life and make a significant difference by enabling them to live more comfortably.
The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) 5-week program will prepare students to provide health care services and personal care to patients at their homes. Areas of learning will include utilizing medical equipment and mechanical lifts, basic nutrition, checking vital signs, dressing wounds, patient care records, physical therapies, personal hygiene standards, collecting routine specimen, assisting with personal activities, domestic and household tasks, transporting and or accompanying patients, and providing companionship and emotional support.

Requirements for Training:
• 18 years of age
• Able to work in the U.S.
• Fully COVID-19 vaccination
• Must pass a background check & reading assessment
