JVS helps people help themselves through innovative programs in training, education, and career counseling to create pathways to hope, independence, and employment. Inspired by Jewish values, JVS proudly serves clients from any and all backgrounds.

Vision

JVS will become the preeminent workforce development
agency in northern New Jersey, focusing on innovative programs, services,
and collaboration with employers and partners to help individuals overcome
barriers to employment, achieve dignity and financial independence, and
provide career pathways for economic advancement.

JVS is guided by two Jewish values that have universal appeal:

Tzedakah: Helping people help themselves is the highest form of social justice and/or charity.

Tikkun Olam: Taking action to repair and improve the world.
