On November 21st, recent graduates of JVS’s Adult Basic Education training program who have passed their GED exams will be celebrated in East Orange. Passing the HSE (High School Equivalency Exam, formerly known as GED) opens doors to career opportunities and independence. For these graduates, it means new horizons.

This JVS course provides adult participants with 16 hours per week of instructor-led classes in the core skills of reading, writing, and math to prepare for the GED.
Our Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes enable students to strengthen their skills in preparation for the High School Equivalency exam (HSE, formerly GED) and raise their Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System scores to be eligible for training programs and employment opportunities.
