The Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the healthcare field performing diagnostic cardiovascular testing. This program provides comprehensive instruction in the theory and practice of electrocardiography, including cardiac anatomy and physiology, proper electrode placement, and operation of EKG equipment. Emphasis is placed on patient care, safety, and the accurate recording and documentation of cardiac activity.
Instruction includes a combination of lecture, laboratory practice, and, where applicable, supervised clinical experience. Upon successful completion, students will possess the knowledge and technical skills necessary to perform electrocardiograms and assist healthcare professionals in identifying cardiac abnormalities.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate and will be eligible for the Certified EKG Technician (CET) credential.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Legally authorized to work in the USA
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Have a minimum 8th grade reading and math levels
