Presented by JVS of MetroWest’s experienced professional career counselors, Dr. Meryl Kanner and Sharon Stern, the workshop will cover the following topics:
- Resume- and cover letter-writing tips
- Interviewing methods
- Basic interviewing skills
- How to prepare for an interview
- Interview dos and don’ts
- The art of body language
- How to make a good first impression
- What the interviewer is looking for
- Tips on creating the all-important “elevator pitch”
This bootcamp is open to the public. Cost to attend is $250.00 for one four-hour session. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Advanced registration is required. Participants will also be asked to complete a questionnaire and submit a resume and sample cover letter prior to the workshop.
To register to attend, please visit www.jvsnj.org/calendar or select one of the links below. For more information, please contact Meryl Kanner at 862-704-2233 or email@example.com.
The bootcamp will include group discussions and the opportunity to role-play various interview scenarios, as well as the chance to answer a broad range of likely interview questions (including the dreaded “Tell me about yourself,” and “What it your greatest weakness?”). Bootcamp participants will practice their skills in a group setting and will receive real-time, immediate feedback from Kanner, Stern, and their peers. By the end of the bootcamp, participants should feel more energized, confident, and prepared to engage in a successful job search process.
