Job-Seekers Workshop: Smile–You’re On Candid Camera!

November 7 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Most job candidates these days are familiar–and comfortable–with online job applications. Recently, it’s become more common place for employers to utilize technology during the interview process, as well, in the form of video interviews. If you’re one of the many people who feel uncomfortable talking to a camera, this workshop will help you prepare for–and make the most of–a video interview.

Here are a few of the takeaways from this session, presented by special guest speaker Alex Freund, interview coach, career counselor, and LinkedIn Advisor:

  • Learn about your best posture, ideal body language, and overall demeanor
  • Understand how to manage the lighting and background for your video interview
  • Determine the best method for using a headset and/or other audio needs
  • Learn general do’s and don’ts regarding selecting the best wardrobe for your video interview.

This program is FREE and open to the public. Advance registration is requested. For more information, please contact Meryl Kanner at 862-704-2233 or mkanner@jvsnj.org.

JVS Job-Seekers Workshops are made possible thanks to the generosity of the Kosloski Family Foundation in memory of Helene Kosloski.
