Job-Seekers Workshop–The Importance of Storytelling in the Interview Process

October 29, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

When you prepare for a job interview, is storytelling part of your preparation process? It should be. During this interactive online Job-Seekers Workshop, Laura Cole, Educator/Writer/Private Tutor/Coach, will provide you with answers to the following questions:

  • What do we mean by “storytelling” in a job interview?
  • Why is storytelling in an interview important?
  • What are the elements of a good interview story?
  • What is my story?
  • How do I create an effective personal interview story?
  • How do I pivot interview questions to my story?

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to analyze story samples AND spend time writing your own interview stories.

This program is FREE and open to the public. Advance registration is required. To register to attend, please click here. For more information, please contact Meryl Kanner at mkanner@jvsnj.org or 862-7004-2233.
